About Pincode
The postal system prevalent in the country of India assigns a unique pincode or PIN (Postal Index Number) to all the post offices. These 6 digit codes reflect the location of the post office as well as the area under that post office of the city. Among the 6 digits, the 1st digit indicates the region, the 2nd one indicates the sub-region, the 3rd one is dedicated to the district and the last 3 digits represent the area post office.
