Google Debuts Tez, A Mobile Payments App For India That Uses Audio QR to Transfer Money.
Google’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI)-based digital payment service called “Tez” Google’s UPI-based Tez digital payment application is available for both Android and iOS App.

Google on Monday launched its mobile payment service, called Tez, in India. The payment service allows users to transfer money via their bank accounts as well as Unified Payments Interface (UPI) ID, QR code and phone number. Google Tez is a stand-alone application which is available for both Android and iOS app use after Download.
How to start with Google Tez Step by Step Process:
First, you need to have Android or ios Mobile Phone than after download the Google Tez app from the Google Play Store or Apple App store.
Step 1: Choose a language to get started.
Step 2. Enter your phone number. The phone number should be linked to your bank account.
Step 3. Choose a Google account for receiving alerts, notification and verification.
Step 4. Google Tez supports in-app lock.
Step 5. On Home, If you want to make payment through UPI, select your bank account number. Google has tied up with a number of banks, It also supports payments bank.
Step 6: You can also link your account number. You will have to provide basic bank details such as account number and IFSC code, as you would do for internet banking or mobile banking
UPI is a payment system launched by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and regulated by the Reserve Bank of India which facilitates the instant fund transfer between two bank accounts on the mobile platform.
India’s growing digital payment market is Facebook-owned WhatsApp.
WhatsApp has been in the news for working towards a UPI-based interface on its platform.
According to media reports, the leading messaging platform is already in talks with the NPCI and a few banks to facilitate financial transactions via UPI.
